Botany is the branch of biology that deals with the study of plants, including their structure, characteristics, and metabolic processes. Plant taxonomy, a study that deals with characterization, identification, classification and nomenclature of plants based on their similarities and differences. Its ideas & conclusions have served as the foundation for practical sciences such as horticulture, agriculture & forestry. Botany, Plant Biology, Plant Science, Plant Pathology  & Phytology, all are similar terms and used for the study of plants. The department of Botany was established in 2010, since then department is contributing in different field of learning, teaching, and research.
