Department of Sociology was established in 1996. The department offers high quality undergraduate program. The first degree program offered by the Department was BA. (Sociology) in affiliation with the University of Sri Dev Suman. The first batch initiated in 1996. Faculty at Sociology believes in open interaction with students who are encouraged to participate in academic, research and extra-curricular activities. Students have never misplaced trust put in them by department and have done well in academic and industry alike
